How the Belize Passport Holders Dubai Visa Works
The Belize passport holders Dubai visa is an e-visa issued before travel. Belize is not on the UAE visa-on-arrival list. If you land in Dubai without an approved visa, you will not be let in.
Most visitors choose a 30-day or 60-day tourist visa. The UAE government says its embassies do not issue tourist visas. Instead, you apply online, through a UAE airline such as Emirates or flydubai, or through a licensed travel agent or hotel.

Getting from Belize City to Dubai
There are no direct flights from Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) to Dubai. Most trips take one stop in a US or Canadian city, such as Miami, Houston, Dallas or Toronto. Total travel time is usually 18 to 22 hours.
Check Your Transit Visa First
This is the step Belizean travellers most often miss. The United States does not allow visa-free transit. Belizean citizens need a US visa to travel there, so you need a B-1/B-2 or C-1 transit visa just to change planes in Miami or Houston. Canada also requires a visa from Belizean citizens.
Another choice is to travel through Mexico, where Belizeans can enter without a visa. Emirates flies daily between Mexico City and Dubai, with a stop in Barcelona. Check the transit rules for that stop with the airline before booking.
Belize Dollars, Dirhams and Cards
The UAE uses the dirham (AED). Both the Belize dollar and the dirham are pegged to the US dollar. One Belize dollar buys about 1.84 dirhams, and this rate barely moves. US dollars in cash are easy to exchange in Dubai. Cards and mobile payments work almost everywhere.
Timing Your Trip
Dubai is 10 hours ahead of Belize all year, as neither country changes its clocks. Expect jet lag for the first two or three days. November to March is the best time to visit, with warm days and cool evenings. From June to September, Dubai is much hotter and drier than a Belizean summer.

The UAE has no embassy in Belize. The UAE Embassy in Mexico City covers Belize, and the UAE ambassador to Mexico is also the non-resident ambassador to Belize.
The embassy does not process tourist visas, so contact it only for consular matters.
