Dubai Visits Visa Online Application Form
Brazilian travellers do not need to get a UAE visa before the trip. You land, pass through immigration, and your passport is stamped. The trip needs more planning than the visa: a long flight, a 7-hour time difference, IOF on your spending, and papers for children who travel without both parents.
Entering the UAE on a Brazilian Passport
The Brazil passport holders Dubai visa is issued free at the airport. Brazil is on the UAE list of countries that get a multiple-entry visit visa on arrival. The visa is valid for 6 months from the date it is issued. Your total stay in the UAE during that period can be up to 90 days.
You can leave the UAE, for example on a short trip to Oman, and come back without a new visa. All the days you spend in the UAE still count toward the 90.
Documents to Carry
The Dubai visa requirements for Brazil are short:
-
A Brazilian passport valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date. Your RG or CNH is not accepted.
-
A return or onward flight ticket.
-
Your hotel booking or the address where you will stay.
-
For minors travelling with only one parent, alone, or with another adult: the Brazilian travel authorisation (autorização de viagem).
Travelling with Children
This rule comes from Brazil, not the UAE, but it is checked when you leave Brazil. If a child under 18 travels abroad with only one parent, the other parent must sign an authorisation with a notarised signature. If the child travels alone or with another adult, both parents must sign. You can also record the authorisation in the child's passport when you apply for it. It then stays valid for as long as the passport does.
Flights: São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to Dubai
Emirates flies nonstop every day from São Paulo Guarulhos (GRU) to Dubai. The flight takes about 15 hours. From Rio de Janeiro Galeão (GIG), Emirates operates a daily flight on its Dubai–Rio–Buenos Aires route. That flight returned to daily service in July 2026.
From other cities, most travellers take a domestic flight to São Paulo first. Dubai is 7 hours ahead of Brasília time all year, as neither country uses daylight saving time now.
Paying in Dubai: Reais, Dirhams and IOF
The UAE uses the dirham (AED), which is pegged to the US dollar. Most Brazilians carry US dollars rather than reais, or simply use a card. In 2026, IOF is 3.5% on international credit and debit card purchases, prepaid travel cards, global accounts and foreign cash alike. Because the IOF is the same everywhere, compare the full cost (VET) of each option, including the exchange rate and fees.
When Brazilians Should Go
November to March is the best time to visit Dubai, with warm days and mild nights. That matches Brazil's summer holidays and the Carnaval period. July is a common school break in Brazil, but it is one of Dubai's hottest months, often above 40°C. If you travel in July, plan malls, museums and indoor parks for the daytime.
UAE Diplomatic Missions in Brazil
Brazilians do not need to visit a UAE mission for a tourist trip. For other consular matters, the UAE has two offices in Brazil:
-
Embassy in Brasília: SHIS QI 5, Conjunto 12, Casa 12, Brasília - DF, 71615-120. Phone +55 61 3248 0717, email brasiliaemb@mofa.gov.ae.
-
Consulate General in São Paulo: Alameda Santos, 2300, Cerqueira César, São Paulo - SP, 01418-200. Phone +55 11 4550 2301, email saopaulocon@mofa.gov.ae.
-
Both offices are open from 09:00 to 16:00.
Who Still Needs to Apply in Advance
The free stamp depends on your passport. A foreign resident of Brazil whose nationality is not visa-exempt needs a pre-arranged Dubai tourist visa from Brazil. So does anyone who has already used their 90 days and wants to return before the 6 months end. Follow our guide on how to apply for a Dubai visit visa. If your trip is close, try the Dubai express visa application.
For most tourists with a Brazilian passport, the Dubai visa for Brazil citizens needs no form and no fee.
