Dubai Visits Visa Online Application Form

If you are travelling from Ouagadougou or Bobo-Dioulasso to Dubai, the most important rule is simple: get your UAE visa approved before you go to the airport. Burkinabè ordinary passports do not qualify for a visa on arrival. Airlines check your UAE visa at check-in, before you board. 

Visa First, Ticket Second 

The Burkina Faso passport holders Dubai visa is an e-visa. You apply online and receive an approval document by email. Most visitors choose a 30-day or 60-day tourist visa. The UAE government says its embassies do not issue tourist visas. You apply online, through a licensed travel agent or hotel, or through certain airlines for their ticketed passengers.

What to Prepare 

These are theDubai visa requirements for Burkina Faso applicants. Clear scans save time: 

• A Burkinabè passport valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date. 

• A clear colour copy of the passport photo page. 

• A recent passport-style photo with a plain background. 

• A confirmed return ticket and your hotel booking or host's address. 

Diplomatic and Service Passports 

Holders of Burkina Faso diplomatic or service passports can enter the UAE without a visa for up to 30 days. This does not apply to ordinary passports, which always need a visa. 

Routes from Ouagadougou to Dubai 

There is no direct flight from Ouagadougou (OUA) to Dubai. Common one-stop routes are: 

• Ethiopian Airlines through Addis Ababa, the longest nonstop flight from OUA at about 6 hours. 

• Turkish Airlines through Istanbul. 

• Royal Air Maroc through Casablanca. 

Each transit country has its own rules for Burkinabè passports. Burkinabè citizens need a visa for Turkey and Egypt, but not for Morocco. If you only change planes airside, rules are often simpler, but confirm with your airline before you book. 

From CFA Francs to Dirhams 

Burkina Faso uses the West African CFA franc (XOF), which is fixed to the euro at 655.957 francs per euro. The UAE dirham is fixed to the US dollar. Your budget will therefore move with the euro-dollar rate. CFA francs are difficult to change outside the region, so change money into euros or US dollars before you leave. Exchange houses in Dubai accept both widely, and cards work almost everywhere. 

Weather and Timing 

Dubai is 4 hours ahead of Burkina Faso all year. November to March is the most comfortable time to visit, with warm days and cool nights. May to September is very hot and humid, and often hotter than the Ouagadougou hot season. Apply early for December and January, when Dubai is busiest.
