Dubai Visits Visa Online Application Form
Cambodians can visit Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore without a visa. The UAE is different. You need an approved e-visa before you board, and the airline will check it at the check-in counter at Techo International Airport. This page covers the visa, the flights and the practical details for Cambodian travellers.
The Cambodia Passport Holders Dubai Visa Explained
The Cambodia passport holders Dubai visa is issued online before travel. Cambodia is not on the UAE visa-on-arrival list. Without an approved visa, you will not be allowed to board.
Most visitors choose a 30-day or 60-day tourist visa. You can apply online through the UAE's smart services, through a licensed travel agent, or through an airline such as Emirates if you hold a confirmed ticket. UAE embassies do not issue tourist visas.
Paperwork Checklist
The Dubai visa requirements for Cambodia applicants are:
-
A Cambodian passport valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.
-
A clear scan of the passport photo page, with the Latin-letter name fully readable.
-
A recent photo with a plain background.
-
A return ticket and a hotel booking or your host's address.
Make sure the name on your ticket matches your passport exactly. Khmer names are often spelled differently in English, and a mismatch can cause problems at check-in. Start with our guide on how to apply for a Dubai visit visa.
Flying from Phnom Penh and Siem Reap
Phnom Penh's airport changed in September 2025. All flights moved from the old Phnom Penh International Airport to the new Techo International Airport (KTI) on 9 September 2025. Old guides that mention PNH are out of date.
Emirates flies daily from Techo to Dubai with one stop. The journey takes about 11 hours in total. Emirates also serves Siem Reap Angkor International Airport through Bangkok, which suits travellers from the north-west. Other routes connect through Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. As a Cambodian, you can enter these countries without a visa if you want a stopover.
Dollars, Riel and Dirhams
Cambodians already use US dollars every day, and that helps in Dubai. The UAE dirham is pegged to the US dollar at about 3.67 AED per dollar. This makes prices easy to work out. Carry clean, undamaged US dollar notes for exchange. Change any riel before you leave. Cards work almost everywhere in Dubai.
Picking the Right Season
Dubai is 3 hours behind Cambodia. November to March is the best time to visit. This is also Cambodia's dry season, so it is a good time to be away from home without missing much. Avoid July and August if you can, as Dubai's heat often goes above 40°C.
If you plan your trip around Khmer New Year in April or Pchum Ben, apply early. Visa demand and flight prices both rise around holidays. For urgent trips, use our express Dubai visa application.
Embassy Support
There is no UAE embassy in Phnom Penh. The UAE ambassador to Cambodia is non-resident and presented his credentials to King Norodom Sihamoni in 2024. For official questions, call the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs 24/7 line on +971 800 44444.
Cambodia also has no embassy in the UAE. According to the Dubai Protocol directory, Cambodians in the UAE are served by the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Kuwait:
-
Address: Surra, Block 1, Street 1, Villa 25, Kuwait
-
Phone: +965 2531 0029
-
Email: camemb.kwt@mfaic.gov.kh
Because help is far away, keep copies of your passport and visa on your phone.
Before Departure
Once you have applied, check your Dubai visa status and print the approval. A Dubai tourist visa from Cambodia is tied to your passport number, so travel with the same passport you used to apply. With this done, the Dubai visa for Cambodia citizens is simply shown at check-in and immigration.
