Dubai Visits Visa Online Application Form
The Dubai visa for Czech Republic citizens is not a standard requirement. According to the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holders of Czech passports can stay in the UAE without a visa for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, under an agreement between the EU and the UAE that has applied since May 2015. That sounds simple, but Czech travellers are sometimes refused entry over passport details, not visas. This page explains where you stand, which passport rules are enforced strictly, what the optional online e-visa options cost on this site, and how to apply from Prague, Brno or Ostrava if you prefer written approval before you fly. Entry rules can change, so confirm the latest position with your airline before you book.
Dubai Visa Requirements for Czech Republic Citizens
In practice, the requirements come down to three things: a suitable passport, a stay within the permitted limit, and proof of your plans if an officer asks for it.
- No advance visa for a short stay. Visa-free entry is available for up to 90 days within any 180 days, and the same allowance covers several trips, so add up your days if you travel to the UAE often.
- A biometric passport. Czech guidance says the document must contain biometric data.
- Six months' validity. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date you enter the UAE.
Overstaying is penalised with a daily fine, so keep a note of your entry date. Holders of passports from other countries who live in the Czech Republic follow the rules for their own passport, not the Czech rules.
Passport Rules Czech Travellers Must Not Overlook
The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns that the six-month rule is strictly enforced and that Czech citizens have been turned away when they were short by a single day. Check the expiry date now, not at the airport, and renew early if you are near the limit.
Several other Czech-specific points are worth knowing:
- Emergency passports do not work. Czech travel guidance says the six-month emergency passport without biometric data cannot be used for the UAE.
- An ID card is not enough. Czechs are used to crossing borders in the EU with a national ID card, but the UAE needs a passport.
- An Israel stamp is not an obstacle. The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that a previous visit to Israel, or an Israeli stamp or visa in your passport, does not prevent entry.
- Names need care. Czech names carry diacritics such as č, ř and ž, and women's surnames often end in -ová. Passports convert these to plain letters in the machine-readable zone, so copy the spelling from the data page and match it on your booking.
Dubai Tourist Visa from Czech Republic: Is an E-Visa Worth It?
Because Czech passport holders can generally enter visa-free, applying online is optional. Some travellers still choose it because they want written approval before paying for flights, prefer to have their documents reviewed in advance, or are planning a stay with specific requirements. There is also a practical point. The UAE embassy in Prague closed at the end of 2021, so consular services for Czechs are handled from Vienna, which makes an online route more convenient if you need any kind of formal arrangement.
Weigh the trade-off honestly. A 30-day or 60-day e-visa gives a shorter permitted stay than the 90-day visa-free allowance. If certainty matters more to you than extra days, the e-visa can make sense. Our guide to Dubai visit visa types explains how the options differ.
Dubai Visa Options for Czech Passport Holders
These are the options listed on this site for Czech applicants. Fees are the amounts listed at the time of writing, in US dollars, and the price shown in the application form is the one that applies.
| Option | Listed fee | Permitted stay | Visa validity |
|---|---|---|---|
| 48-hour transit | $110 | 48 hours | 30 days |
| 96-hour transit | $130 | 96 hours | 30 days |
| 7-day single entry | $130 | 7 days | 60 days |
| 14-day business | $152 | 14 days | 58 days |
| 30-day single entry | $162 | 30 days | 58 days |
| 30-day multiple entry | $430 | 30 days | 58 days |
| 60-day single entry | $400 | 60 days | 60 days |
| 60-day multiple entry | $690 | 60 days | 60 days |
Extensions also appear on the site, but Czech travellers already have a 90-day visa-free allowance, so they rarely need one. The transit options mainly suit passport holders who cannot otherwise enter without a visa, so check with your airline before paying for one.
Visa Validity, Permitted Stay and Entries Explained
These three ideas are often mixed up, so keep them apart:
- Visa validity is the period in which you must enter the UAE.
- Permitted stay is how long you may remain after arriving.
- Entry type says whether you can enter once or several times.
A 30-day single-entry e-visa, for example, is valid for 58 days but allows a 30-day stay and one entry. For visa-free entry, the 90-day limit is counted within a rolling 180-day period. A tourist visa or visa-free stay covers visiting only. Paid work needs the correct UAE work authorisation, and short meetings fall under the business option.

Dubai Visa Fees and Processing Time for Czech Passport Holders
The fees in the table are the amounts listed for Czech applicants. The final price can depend on the visa type, the stay you choose and any processing option, so rely on the amount shown in the application form before you pay.
The application page lists three to four days for e-visa processing, and decisions can sometimes come sooner. Apply well before you travel, especially in school holidays. If your dates are close, the express Dubai e-visa service may suit a tighter schedule, although UAE authorities make the final decision. See our note on Dubai visa processing time for what can slow an application down.
Applying for a Dubai Visits Visa from Prague, Brno and Ostrava
Your city does not change your eligibility, because the rules follow your passport. It does affect your journey. Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) is the Czech Republic's main international airport, and published schedules show non-stop Prague–Dubai flights with Emirates, flydubai and Smartwings, taking roughly six and a half hours. Schedules change, so confirm current flights with the airline.
Pay attention to the arrival airport. Emirates and flydubai serve Dubai International (DXB), while Smartwings has been reported flying some services to Al Maktoum (DWC), so check the airport on your ticket before arranging transport. Travellers from Brno or Ostrava usually reach Prague or another European hub first, so leave extra time for the connection. The practical steps for a Dubai visa from Prague or any other city are the same: check your passport, prepare your documents and keep your application ID.
Travel Planning for Czech Passport Holders
- Time difference: The Czech Republic is on UTC+1 in winter and UTC+2 in summer, while the UAE stays on UTC+4, so Dubai is three hours ahead in winter and two hours ahead in summer.
- Money: The Czech Republic uses the koruna, not the euro, and the UAE uses the dirham. Ask your bank which cards work abroad and what fees apply.
- Driving: UAE authorities do not accept Czech driving licences on their own. For short tourist stays, a Czech licence combined with an international driving permit is used, and rental companies typically ask for the permit.
- Climate: After a Central European winter, Dubai's mild months from about November to March feel very different, while summer heat is intense.

Why Apply for a Dubai Visits Visa
For a Czech passport holder, the main benefit is certainty. You can review your documents, see the fee before you pay and follow your application in one place. This site is a commercial visa service, not a government website, and all decisions on issuance and entry rest with UAE immigration officers. No service can guarantee approval or entry, so read each option carefully before you apply.
